Paradise Valley is a picturesque enclave situated between Phoenix & Scottsdale. It stretches from the north slope of Camelback Mountain, encompasses all of Mummy Mountain & includes the eastern slopes of the Phoenix Mountains. Ranked 87 in Forbes Magazine's America's Most Expensive Zip Codes in 2013, the median home price here is $1,862,992.

"PV" (as locals call it) is home to some of the area's executives, professional athletes & politicians including former Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O'Connor, & and former US Vice President, Dan Quayle.  It's also where I live. Paradise Valley residents attend schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District, not the Paradise Valley Unified School District, which primarily serves Phoenix.

It should not be confused with the neighborhood in northeast Phoenix of the same name. For instance, Paradise Valley Community College, Paradise Valley High School, Paradise Valley Hospital, Paradise Valley Mall, and Paradise Valley Golf Course are all located several miles to the north, in Phoenix - a considerable distance from the town that actually bears their name. Paradise Valley is home to twelve resorts, making it one of Arizona's premiere tourist destinations. It has prime real estate, with a median resale value at nearly $1.9 million, with many exceeding $5 million and some over $15 million.
